Air Malta has announced that “it was forced” to cancel flight KM624 from Malta to Linate and KM625 from Linate to Malta, scheduled on Friday 29th September due to the Italian national strike action.
“Air Malta regrets any inconvenience caused, which is completely beyond the airline’s control,” the airline stated. Italy will have three 24-hour national strikes, called by unions USB, CUB, UGL, FIT, CISL and FLAI, which all represent airline personnel, workers and ground handlers.
The national airline also notified its customers that the local timings for flights to Italy on Friday 29th September have been changed as followed:

Customers booked on these flights will be able to either rebook to travel on an alternative flight, by contacting Air Malta Customer Service Centre on 00356 21662211 or to receive a full ticket refund by emailing refundrequest@airmalta.com.
For any flights booked through a travel agent, customers are advised to contact their travel agent who can submit a refund request on their behalf.
