Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister, Chris Fearne, and Superintendent of Public Health, Charmaine Gauci, will be addressing a press conference at 10.30 am on Thursday (today).
On Tuesday, Minister Fearne had revealed that the next wave of relaxation measures would be announced “in the coming days”.
Although no details were provided on what relaxation measures are to be introduced, the Minister pointed out that daily COVID transmission rates remain low, and reconfirmed that on Monday, restaurants, kiosks and snack bars will be reopening to in-house dining with a 5pm curfew. He then said that “in the coming days, we will announce more easing of measures”.
As from Monday, travel to Gozo will also recommence while non-contact sports may restart without spectators and training for professional sports may resume too.
Bars and gyms remain shut with no reopening timeline, while masks must be worn at all times in public, and a limit of four people are permitted to gather. Currently, a limit of four households may mix indoors.
