Gozo Channel Operations Limited, the company operating the Gozo Channel Line, on Monday (today) announced that it will be temporarily diverting operations to Ċirkewwa South Quay.
The company has stated that as a result of the diversion, “delays are expected.”
This comes as Malta is currently facing strong eastern and northeastern winds, with windspeed varying between five and six today, according to the Malta International Airport Met Office, as at the time of writing.
This harsh weather first started last week, and has persisted after the weekend. In fact, Gozo Channel Operations Limited also had to shift its operations to its secondary Comino route on Friday.
Aside from this, Gozo Highspeed, the alternative way of travelling to Gozo, had all its trips cancelled from 10.45am onwards on Monday, and has also announced that all voyages for Tuesday have been cancelled.
