In light of this, the airline is offering affected passengers two alternatives: Either requesting a full refund of the costs of the flight ticket, if cancellation of booking is preferred, or changing the booking to an alternative date, free of charge.
Malta’s national airline informed customers that if a monetary refund is preferred, and they have booked directly with KM, they should reach out through an online form.
For bookings through a travel agency, customers are asked to communicate with them directly to initiate a refund request on their behalf.
For queries or to rebook the ticket, customers can also contact its Customer Service Centre on 00356 21356000, which is available Monday to Sunday from 7am to 10pm CET. For efficient assistance, customers are encouraged to provide their booking reference or ticket number.
KM Malta Airlines apologised for the inconvenience caused, which is “beyond its control.”
