Bank of Valletta has been forced to close various branches and restrict service at others due to a number of the bank’s staff testing positive for COVID-19, while others are in quarantine.

BOV said its branches in Naxxar and Birkirkara are closed and will reopen on December 28th after being fully sanitised.

In Gozo, the Nadur and Xaghra branches have been closed until further notice.

Meanwhile, branches in Attard, Msida, Fleur de Lys and Birzebbuga will only be offering non-cashier services by appointment. Cashier services will not be available until further notice.

The bank urged its customers to limit the risk of contagion by using its ATMs and internet and mobile banking services.

“Bank of Valletta will continue to take all the necessary measures in the best interest and safety of its customers and staff and reminds customers visiting Bank’s premises to follow the necessary precautions such as safe social distancing, proper wearing of masks and sanitising. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we thank you all for your continuous cooperation.” the bank said.
